I started M+B Design from the ground up in 2016 and have never looked back! Designing homes that share a story of who you are is my true passion. I believe that everybody deserves a place that feels like home, and I can't wait to meet that mark for you!

Get To Know Each Other
After we receive your initial inquiry, we set up an in-person consultation to meet and discuss the scope of work. This is a great time to share any inspiration photos you may have. We require the consultation fee prior to this meeting.

The Proposal
We send over a contract + proposal for the estimated design time and budget. Signing the proposal secures a spot on our schedule + we collect a 10 hour retainer fee during this time. The retainer is good for the first 10 hours of design, or 90 days from the agreed upon start date.

We Inspire You!
We curate general mood boards + floor plans for you to visualize + understand what is to come. This is such an important part in the process because it's the first step in you seeing how your project will come together in the end! This gives you the opportunity to share your excitement, concerns, + questions.

We Meet Often
This is one of the more time consuming steps! We will source all of the elements needed in your project. We will put together additional mood boards as needed, gather samples, and offer guidance through selection appointments. Multiple meetings may be needed depending on the scope of your work. Once the retainer fee is up, we bill hourly and invoice at the end of each month.

Purchasing Furniture
All of our large scale items are ordered and pricing is updated on a budget sheet. We prefer to order ourselves to keep track of shipping dates + deliveries. We extend trade discounts to our clients.

We Check-In
We will have weekly or monthly check-in's with our clients depending on the project. For remodels + new construction, we schedule site visits to keep ourselves updated.

Shopping
About a month prior to the project wrapping up, we will schedule a site visit. During that time we will take detailed measurements and prepare for shopping of all accessories + decor.

Install Day
Because we get to see your project from start to finish, install day is pure joy! It is the day when everything you have dreamt of all comes together! Once all of the big items have been delivered, we schedule this final day with you. We hang all artwork, decor, + window treatments. (unless otherwise specified)
